The Awesome Adventure Package

4 nights accommodation in an ocean-view suite with meals at the Lodge

Day One — Heli-hiking in the Alpine

Are you looking for a unique experience? Fly to a remote alpine area on a Jet Ranger helicopter and challenge yourself with a back-country excursion.

Each hiking trip is tailored specifically to our guests' desires and fitness ability. Whether you are intent on covering distance on a challenging terrain or are more interested in a relaxed pace for looking, writing, painting, and taking pictures, we can accommodate you.

No trip is complete without good food, and the chefs at Inlets Restaurant are eager to provide the comfort of fine food that a day of hiking and fresh alpine air demands.

Finally, don't go without a guide. Our experienced and wilderness-certified guides are committed to creating unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Day Two — A kayak trip to Hotham Sound

This five-hour tour starts right after breakfast at the Lodge. You and your guide will be ferried on a short, scenic boat cruise across Jervis Inlet to Hotham Sound. Here you will explore not only one of the deepest waterways on the B.C. coast, but one of its warmest bays as well.

Freil Falls, tallest free-standing waterfall from here to AlaskaOnce into Hotham Sound, you will slip into your kayak and paddle to Friel Falls, which at 1400 feet tall is considered to be the longest free-standing waterfall between here and Alaska.

Depending upon the time of year and the amount of recent rainfall, the sound of the falls can been compared to thunder; don't be surprised if you can hear it from a mile away.

After paddling, you may want to take advantage of the excellent water conditions to go swimming or diving for oysters. If you bring your catch back to the Lodge we will gladly throw them on the barbecue for you.

More than likely you will have worked up an appetite, so let the guide take you to one of her favourite lunch spots. After a delicious lunch prepared by our chefs, hop back in your kayak and paddle to the head of the Sound to be picked up and taken back to the Lodge. Just before you depart, don't forget to take a picture.

Day Three — Float-plane canoeing and fishing trip at Phantom Lake

Fly by float plane into Phantom Lake, a glacier-fed lake, to explore the beautiful B.C. Alps.

Phantom Lake is a pristine, glacier-fed mountain lake
This rugged wilderness area is high in the Tetrahedron mountains northeast of Sechelt and southwest of Whistler. A short thirty-minute flight is all it takes to escape to this majestic mountain lake in the heart of B.C.'s true wilderness.  The only man-made objects for many miles are your float plane and a ready-waiting canoe with fishing poles.

Like world-famous Peyto Lake in the Rocky Mountains, Phantom Lake too has an amazing turquoise colour, caused from the rock flour (fine glacial debris) suspended in the water. Also like the Rocky Mountains, the Tetrahedron area has a diverse wildlife population: grizzlies, cougars, and black bears are just a few of the wildlife that calls this area home.

This canoe trip is a one-of-a-kind experience.
